The Big Lebowski

Do you think the language is offensive? The language isn’t offensive to me, but it might be to women and kids, I just find it funny because I’m obnoxious like that.

Do I think the rating, AA14, is appropriate? No I don’t think that rating is appropriate because kids that age don’t need to be exposed to this kind of stuff, I don’t even think I should be able to watch this. Like Jesus, he’s the most messed up person I’ve ever seen before, or the comment “I’m going to fuck you in the ass”, kids don’t need to hear that, and don’t forget about Walter telling Donny to “shut the fuck up”, it’s just terrible, but hilarious. Last but not least, The Dude’s everyday speech, “fuck” this and “fuck” that.

On the other hand it was a great movie but it definitely should be rated 18A. That’s what I think about “The Big Lebowski” using swear words and offensive language nonchalantly.

Citizen Kane

Is “Citizen Kane” really the best movie of all time? It could possibly be. I enjoyed it start to finish even though it is black and white. It definitely started something great, a whole bunch of camera shots no one had ever even heard of before. Orson Welles may be one of the greatest actors ever, everything came together beautifully. It’s not something I could watch over and over again because it’s so plain compared to movies today. Orson Welles didn’t have a million chances to do every scene, like when he smashed that whole room, he only had one chance to do it, now actors get as many times as they want to do it. Orson Welles did an awesome job on “Citizen Kane”, I don’t care what anyone says, it was a great movie. So Mr. Edwards, I’m glad to say that we watched a movie from 1941 which is way before my time, and even yours, but “Citizen Kane” may possibly be THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!

How Media Is Important To Me:

I believe that media is very important in my life. Everything I do in my life involves media. Media helps by distracting me from any problems I have. Media has a big influence on my life, noone likes saying it, but it's true.

3. Video Games - They're awesome! Too bad i got Red Ring on my X-Box, now I'm stuck with those crappy old computer games.

2. Television - It keeps me updated on everything that goes on, I mostly only care about sports, but whatever.

1. Music - Without it, I don't know who I'd be. I listen to music 75% of the time. Thanks Bethoven, for starting all of it.

My Thoughts On Modern Popular Culture:

I think pop culture is too over-rated. I'm seeing a little more of Britney Spears than i care to see, and that scandal about Tiger Woods, how many people really believe he was running around with that many women? Come on, he's not Gene Simmons. But without pop culture, we wouldn't be hearing the music we are today, or watching the reality shows we are. So thanks anyway pop culture.

TV Show - Sportscentre

I don't like to read all the time, plus this is a media class, I'd rather watch it, than read it. Whether it be Mark Buehrle pitching a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays, Lebron James dunking over Tim Duncan, Carson Palmer driving the Bengals down field in the last minute, two games in a row, or Sidney Crosby raising the cup or scoring the overtime winner against the USA to win the gold medal in Vancouver. I really love my sports...

Video Game - NHL 10

How can you not like this game, it's the best sports game I've ever played. Be your favorite team, the Pens for me, and take them all the way to the Stanley Cup Final. Go online and play against people all over the world. It's just a great game...

This has to be the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. From start to finish it had me laughing. McMuffin, I mean McLovin, is the most nerdy kid I've ever seen in my life. Evan and Seth are totally in love with each other, there's no doubt about it...

Ok, she seems to be the only good girl around anymore, she's pretty, and I love her music, make fun of me if you want, but it won't change anything. I can listen to it wherever, whenever. She was singer of the year in 09', and has the potential to be singer of the year in 10'. Featuring the hits "Love Story", "Fifteen", and "You Belong With Me".
